FAQ

What Is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a hair removal method that is medically recognized to rid unwanted hair permanently by the US Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ).

Is Electrolysis Permanent?
Yes.  Electrolysis is the only permanent method that will give you the results you are looking for, regardless of any type of hair and the condition of the area to be treated.  Marie’s expertise and excelling skills honed in Europe and US, for the past 30 years proved to have helped eliminate unwanted hair for hundred of satisfied clients.  She helped transformed their image to attain confidence, style and beauty.

Reason For Electrolysis
There are various reasons why individuals remove facial and body hair. Some are concerned with health-related issues; others seek enhanced beauty-they simply love feeling beautiful all over.  You may be surprised how many men and women just like you are dealing with excess hair due to:

Required Treatments
The number of the treatments varies with each individual, based on factors such as: hormone function, heredity predisposition, hair growth cycles and areas to be treated, age of the individual and prior use of temporary methods (waxing, tweezing, shaving) medical history and certain medications as well as level of stress experienced. After assessing the condition of the desired area to be treated, a plan will be tailored and implemented accordingly to the needs of the area to be treated. In the beginning the treatments could last for 15 minutes to an hour or more and they could be weekly or bi-weekly. As a gage for assessing progress you should be able to see an improvement within 2-3 treatments.  As the progress is made the treatments will take place at monthly or quarterly intervals.

Electrolysis vs. Laser Hair Removal
Unlike other hair removal options, professionally performed Electrolysis eliminates unwanted hair, permanently, with unsurpassed results. By treating each hair individually it allows for a precise treatment. Electrolysis disables hair growth by eliminating the growth cells of the hair in each follicle while laser treatment diffuses a light beam onto the skin surface only.

Laser promoters compare laser to electrolysis although laser assisted hair removal is considered a temporary method.  It has not been evaluated for long-term safety of the patient’s skin and health.

No laser hair removal device has been cleared to market as providing permanent hair removal.  Instead they have been cleared to market for “Permanent Hair Reduction”.

Who Can Be Treated?
Women, men and adolescentsIn today’s day and age everyone is aware of the benefits of looking and feeling good.  Unwanted hair could cause an embarrassment to anyone concerned with the professional success and personal appearance in their social environment.  The discomfort created by the unhealthy condition of irritating and infecting skin, ingrown hairs and undesired constant use of temporary methods, will be disturbing enough to direct anyone’s attention to address these concerns to a professional and experienced electrologist for permanent relief.  Once they start with electrolysis treatments the skin will regain it’s health and become free of hair, smooth and beautiful.

Can ingrown hairs be eliminated?
Yes.  Marie can eliminate ingrown hairs through extraction of the hair from the follicle that irritated the skin. Ingrown hairs occur on the skin when hair follicles are damaged by friction, blockage of the follicle due to tweezing, waxing or shaving.  This condition is called folliculitis and is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles, which become infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus. The symptoms include a rash, pimples or pustules on the area of the skin by the neck, face, groin or genital area.  Marie has the expertise to rid of this condition within one treatment, after which the skin will heal within a few days and all marks or discoloration will disappear.

Can women begin or have electrolysis treatments during pregnancy?
Unwanted hair can be caused by hormonal changes brought on by pregnancy.  Electrolysis could be performed on any normal skin.  This includes pregnant women.  It’s suggested to seek medical advice from your physician.  Electrolysis can enhance your natural beauty with smooth, hair-free and healthy-looking skin for a glowing look that’s uniquely you.
